West Counseling and Counseling accepts both insurance and self-pay as a form of payment for counseling services. There are several insurance panels I am credentialed with including: Aetna, Summa, Medical Mutual and United. For out of network insurance, you can pay the full fee and I can provide you with a super bill to submit for reimbursement to your insurance. It it encouraged that you contact your insurance provider first to check eligibility for services, this will ensure there are no surprises on your end. A 53-60 minute session is typically $150 through insurance. Please note: when insurance is billed I am required to provide a diagnosis. Also, you are responsible for the co-pay and any deductibles at the time of your visit (a credit card will be kept on file and billed at time of service). There is a $100 charge for no-show appointments and cancellations less than 24 hours. I realize life happens and sometimes events occur out of our control, but as a courtesy please provide advanced notice if possible so someone else can schedule an appointment during that time.
Self-pay may be desirable for clients that don’t have a diagnosis or want to ensure their privacy from insurance companies. This method of payment can also be appealing to clients and/or families with high deductibles. It is important to note consultation services are self-pay only and cannot be billed through insurance. The hourly rate for self-pay for both counseling and consultation is $110.
