WHO do I help?
I help teens and adults with or without disabilities to gain independence, cope with challenges in life and to find their own voice.
I also help parents of children with disabilities who wish they could just relax, enjoy the moment, and find balance. If you feel so drained by the demands of lifelong parenting and advocating for your child that you never quite get around to living the life you really want.
I also help partners whose loved ones have a disability. If you want to be supportive and helpful, but are struggling to balance the roles of caregiver and partner. You may feel an overwhelming amount of responsibility, feel lonely and afraid to ask for help.
How do I help?
I guide my clients through the process of evaluating their circumstances and discovering what prevents them from living their best life.
I help clients decide what changes will be most helpful and I support you as you make those changes. I also help with accepting things in life which you do not have the power to change.
As a result of our work together you can face your challenges with a new perspective, acceptance, and a restored sense of self-worth.
What I know + believe
I know from nearly 20 years of experience supporting clients and individuals with disabilities and their family members that some days the isolation, exhaustion, and fear are so overwhelming. It’s easy to wonder if you are going to be able to get through what you’re facing and if life will ever get easier.
You are enough. Sometimes you just need someone to help you remember that. Let me walk with you through your struggles and help you build a life that feels good to live.
I believe that all individuals deserve to be happy, to have a voice. I invite you to schedule a session with me. Let’s find your direction...
